Social Media and Digital Strategy
*Oversee digital strategy development, content plan, and day-to-day execution for the San Jose Sharks and SAP Center brands across social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube) along with Website and Mobile App
Strategy contributed to immediate success including 15% increase YOY in IG impressions, 66.1% increase in video views, doubled TikTok follower count, ranked 14th (or higher) in the league in exposure rate per Zoomph (8.48%), and increased ticket sales through the app.
Strategy led to 8.1% overall growth for 22-23 season ranking 4th in the league (Blinkfire Analytics)
Manage and develop a team of four digital content staff: 2 digital coordinators, 1 UX/UI designer for web/app, and a remote part-time digital assistant
Develop and manage Sharks influencer and player/broadcaster marketing programs including managing $50,000 budget, sourcing, contract negotiations, and content planning.
Ranked 4th overall in NHL for 22-23 regular season growth across all channels including 7th overall on TikTok for growth (via Blinkfire Analytics)
Working with our app vendor, FanReach, we designed Theme Game “homepage takeovers” where users see a new app experience based on the theme in-arena. Through these experiences, we were able to give fans direct info to gameday activities, food/merch, and bring them fully into the game. The app experiences also increased ticket sales and helped drive traffic to the Sharks Audio Network.
Worked with marketing leadership to design content + website strategy for SJSharks.com to increase traffic, develop a better user experience (with UX/UI designer), increase ticket sales, and more. This became more impactful with the move to the new Deltatre Forge CRM in Summer 2023 as we adjusted strategies and were able to utilize new features, showcase partnerships, and an overall more seamless experience for our fans/users especially for ticket buying, videos, and photos.
Good Morning Football x Sharks Starter Jacket Influencer Campaign
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Developed influencer campaign with Good Morning Football Host, Kyle Brandt, that generated $11,000+ dollars in revenue in a single day, the highest non-jersey sales day in Sharks Pro Shop history
Sharks x Canine Companions Prison Program - Gill at San Quentin
Collaborating with the Sharks Community/Foundations department, we created a content and storyline opportunity around Sharks Pup, Gill, having a 1-month training stint at San Quentin State Prison, the well known maximum-security facility. Through the Sharks Foundation & Canine Companions, Gill was a part of the puppy training program where inmates train and house the dogs. We worked with the inmates who produced a video segment as well as have the social and photography team on site to capture Gill at work and the work done by the inmates.

Defyned Brands/5 Star Nutrition/Live Relentless Nutrition
April 2019-January 2020

I started as the Social Media Manager for “Live Relentless”, one supplement brand sold by 5 Star Nutrition. I was promoted to Social Media and Influencer Marketing Manager for all of 5 Star Nutrition to oversee the complete social strategy across the brand which includes the main retail brand, 6 supplement companies, and 50+ retail location pages across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. I work with a creative team and use my own skill set of Adobe Creative Cloud to develop curated and consistent feed, coordinate with team athletes for UGC content, increase engagement through proper copywriting and community management, and develop partnerships with wholesale retailers. I also created the athlete and ambassador program to give top customers and fans of the brands an opportunity to represent us and be apart of the content extending our reach on social. Lastly, I have implemented creative and social media management systems to simplify the process of getting content to our retail stores and ensure more content can be put out, proper social media management by the general managers, and a more cohesive brand across all pages.
Bodybuilding.com
January 2018-March 2019

I managed all social accounts for Bodybuilding.com and worked from strategy down to execution (done natively or via a publishing software such as Sprout, Later, Twitter Media Studio, and Facebook Creator Studio) for Twitter, Instagram/Instagram Stories, and Facebook. I worked with the creative team to develop curated feed content, coordinated with 50+ team athletes for UGC content, assisted the video manager for YouTube brand partnerships and community management, and increased engagement by producing content that fans could use and reshare on their pages.
The YouTube examples above are two videos that were apart of the 2018 strategy to create YouTube content that was fun, informative, and had the ability to drive additional revenue. We started with these as pillar pieces of content and then promoted them across our social feeds with 4-5 shorter videos to drive traffic to our channel.
Animated Wallpapers
I am constantly working on my creative skillset in Adobe outside of my other work. This has aided in the development of the idea for animated wallpapers, a new take on #wallpaperwednesday in order to stand out from the crowd and bring something new for fans. I have worked on these as personal projects or as freelance opportunities. The below examples are apart of my sports “Neon Collection”.

Colorado Avalanche Articles
In my time as the Colorado Avalanche Media Relations Intern, I was able to write articles for the team website regarding many different topics from player prospects and the NHL draft to other team news. AP Style and interviewing/coordinating with players and hockey operations members was apart of the article process as well as publishing to the NHL BAM website platform. Below are a few examples.
